Older Country Flame NPS-1000

Postby Usedfire on Sun Mar 28, 2010 8:34 pm

Does anyone have any information about this stove? I purchased one for my Father a number of months ago and just had it installed, but am now having some issues keeping a flame without manually advancing the auger (via the auger button).

I have a few questions regarding this stove.

Is this stove similar to any of the "current" American Energy Systems' products?

Is there a manual available anywhere online for this stove (I did find one manual, but it was for a later generation stove, mine lacks electronic displays on the control unit - just knobs and buttons)

Can I swap out my older control board with the newer control board with electronic display?

What is the rheostat on the right side of the unit for?

Why can't I keep a flame going long enough to properly heat the stove?

Are there technicians who can service this stove?

Thanks,
C

Hi Usedfire,
You may not know that we, American Energy Systems, purchased the Country Flame product line January 2008. Any models manufactured previous to this date we do not have information concerning. We may have replacement parts that will work on this stove, but the part must be verified. The NPS1000 was very similar to the Harvestor and Little Rascal. The only information we do have on the NPS1000 is the owner's manual. You will have to go by the owner's manual for any information you need. I can email the owner's manual we do have for the NPS1000 if you provide me with your email address.
